Educational Objectives

The Department aims to provide students with a solid theoretical foundation while strengthening their practical skills. In response to national economic policies and evolving industry trends and needs, the Department is committed to cultivating well-rounded finance professionals equipped with professional expertise and management capabilities to serve both the public and private sectors.

Educational Focus

The Department emphasizes foundational training in business and languages, the development of professional expertise in finance, the cultivation of independent learning abilities, and the promotion of teamwork. These areas are described below:

1. Strengthening Foundational Training in Business and Languages: Economics, accounting, and statistics are fundamental disciplines in business education and provide essential knowledge and skills for students pursuing either employment or advanced studies. The Department therefore places particular emphasis on these subjects to ensure that students develop a solid foundation in business. In addition, as globalization continues to accelerate, language proficiency has become indispensable in daily life, the workplace, and professional development. To strengthen students' language abilities, the University has established foreign-language proficiency requirements for graduation. Students may also access Studio Classroom through the University Library's online resources to study English anytime and anywhere.

2. Strengthening Professional Expertise in Finance: Developing students' professional expertise in finance is one of the Department's primary educational goals. In response to changes and emerging needs in domestic and international financial markets, the Department continuously reviews and updates its finance-related curriculum. Courses related to professional certifications in various areas of finance are also offered to enhance students' competitiveness. In addition to providing a strong theoretical foundation in the classroom, the Department regularly invites professionals and scholars to deliver lectures and participate in seminars. Internship opportunities, incentive programs for professional certification examinations, and the development of software and hardware facilities in specialized finance computer laboratories are all designed to integrate theory with practice and strengthen students' professional competencies in finance.

3. Developing Learning Abilities: The Department encourages faculty members to guide students in practical capstone projects involving in-depth exploration and research on finance-related topics, and to present or discuss their findings through academic activities. In addition to strengthening students' academic engagement, these activities develop logical thinking, the ability to identify problems proactively, and problem-solving skills, thereby fostering an attitude of lifelong learning and continuous personal and professional growth.

4. Fostering Teamwork: The Department seeks to cultivate a spirit of mutual support and cooperation among students so that they can contribute effectively as members of a team in their future workplaces and make meaningful contributions to society and the organizations they serve. To date, the Department has successfully applied for and participated in several Ministry of Education Youth Information Volunteer initiatives. Under the guidance of faculty advisors, students organize and plan their own teams to support information technology education in elementary schools in remote areas and to help local communities develop professional knowledge and skills in online marketing for local industries and products.
