Educational Objectives

The Department aims to provide students with a solid theoretical foundation in finance while strengthening their practical skills. In response to national economic policies and evolving industry trends and needs, the Department is committed to cultivating well-rounded finance professionals equipped with professional expertise and management capabilities to serve both the public and private sectors.

Curriculum Planning

The Department develops students' core professional competencies based on three principles: practical orientation, employment orientation, and diversified learning. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on practice and practical application. The Department works closely with industries related to students' future careers, invites experts from the financial industry, government, and academia to deliver lectures and participate in collaborative teaching, and arranges industry internships to strengthen students' professional competencies and practical experience. These efforts are intended to bridge academic learning and practical application and facilitate a smooth transition into employment. The curriculum covers a diverse range of areas, including Corporate Finance, Securities and Investments, and Banking and Insurance.

Corporate Finance Students learn financial planning, investment analysis and management, and tax planning. The program prepares professionals with the knowledge and skills required to make financial decisions in business and industrial organizations. Securities and Investments Students learn investment analysis and selection, the application of financial market instruments, and asset management. They apply this knowledge to practical tasks such as asset allocation and portfolio construction and develop professional competencies for careers in securities, futures, investment trusts, and investment consulting. Other Courses (Banking, Insurance, etc.) Students learn the operation and management of the banking and insurance industries and develop an understanding of the theory and application of various investment instruments. In addition to acquiring current financial marketing skills, students learn to provide financial planning services for clients and develop the professional competencies required by the banking and insurance industries. Department Features

  • The Department strengthens training through virtual financial simulations to develop students' intuitive understanding of macroeconomic variables and enhance their sensitivity to financial market movements.
  • Through industry-academia collaboration, the Department promotes the exchange of practical and academic experience while providing students with opportunities for summer and semester-long industry internships, enabling them to apply what they have learned in real-world settings.
  • The Department operates a Certification Center and emphasizes professional certification preparation and guidance. Certification preparation is integrated into relevant courses, and incentive programs are provided to encourage students to obtain professional certifications and enhance their competitiveness in the job market.
  • The Department provides a FinTech Laboratory and professional finance computer laboratories equipped with a variety of financial planning and investment software and databases. Professional courses integrate information technology applications to develop students' ability to combine financial knowledge with software tools, thereby strengthening their investment analysis and decision-making capabilities.
